Bowen Therapy has helped many people overcome their frozen shoulders. If you suffer from a frozen shoulder, a Bowen treatment is a good holistic, non-surgical option to explore. I suffered from a frozen shoulder for more than 20 years. Through Bowen Therapy, my shoulder healed, which made me a firm believer and, ultimately, a fervent practitioner and lifelong student of the technique.
A study published in 2000 (Kinnear) involved 100 people with frozen shoulders, treated with both Bowen therapy and a placebo method. And while I find it difficult to explain what exactly Bowen is and, even more so, how it works, I can tell you with confidence that it can help you get back to doing the things you love, with more well-being and less pain. This is what ultimately led me to spend the next year learning and training myself to become a certified Bowen therapist. I was first introduced to Bowen Therapy by a friend who told me I needed to try it and even recommended her therapist to me.
That's why I strongly believe in Bowen Therapy and would love to show you and your loved ones how it can help improve and maybe even change your life in the same way mine did. Personally, I think Bowen therapy is especially helpful because the entire body is affected during treatment, not just the shoulder. Since I had never heard of Bowen, it took me quite a long time to test it, and I remember coming out of my first session extremely doubtful.
The Bowen technique
(BT) is a therapy that uses light, non-invasive pressure applied to specific and prescribed locations throughout the body to activate the body's self-healing powers.Frozen shoulder is a painful condition associated with a reduced range of motion in the affected shoulder that is often resistant to conventional treatment. The revelation that such a light and simple touch could do more for my frozen shoulder than surgery, therapy and deep tissue massage was so amazing that I knew I had to share it with others. Most of the clients I've worked with have found real improvement in shoulder pain and movement after a few Bowen Therapy treatments.
